VORTEX cups
A collab with TEA ZAVACKI for her #radimposvom brand.
Tea contacted me in November 2023 to design special cups for #radimposvom gift box that would include a planner, a handmade scented candle and a ceramic cup.
My task was to make coffee cups w/o handles, with a capacity up to 100 ml. Tea wanted a minimalist style, something round, matte, in a beige or neutral colour — a small, cute, compact espresso cup that can be hugged by hand.

The idea was to represent the feel of a morning ritual, when a new day begins, a new blank page, with new ideas and possibilities.
The design of the cups is inspired by a VORTEX — a vortex of ideas, that represents infinity, with no limits. It’s powerful, and it embodies the strength of will. The round, slightly conical shape of the cup is reminiscent of a vortex. The detail that makes the cup interesting is the texture of the cup itself. Made of spiral lines that stretch along the cup created by spinning on the pottery wheel. The satin matte creamy-white colour of the cups symbolizes a calm and positive energy, freshness, and a new blank page that has yet to be filled.
I made three test cups with different thicknesses of spiral lines, and several design variants of the #radimposvom x Bréza Ceramics stamp. We discussed and chose the best variant, and I set about making the cups on the pottery wheel.
In January 2024, the first series of cups were finished. Tea and her clients really liked them, and she is already thinking about expanding the collection.
